Roots supports households who may be finding it difficult to make ends meet, by providing access to a regular, affordable way to shop for food.
Roots Community Store is run by SHARE Wokingham & Wokingham Foodbank.
We are at Norreys Church, on Norreys Avenue in Wokingham. The postcode is RG40 1UU.

We prioritise those who genuinely need this support, rather than those simply seeking discounted goods – stick to the supermarket yellow stickers for that!
As a member of Roots you will be able to visit the store once a week, for a fee of £5, where you will be able to choose from a wide range of fresh food, groceries, store cupboard items, cleaning products and toiletries.
We are open on Wednesdays from 11.30 until 1. This is subject to change with advance notice.
Every time you visit the store you will need to pay £5. We prefer to take card payments and you need to pay before you do your shopping.
Your membership is just for you. If you have a friend or family member who might benefit please speak to the team in store about how they can be considered for membership. If you can’t make it to your time slot yourself, you can nominate another person to come in your place. You will be asked to nominate someone ahead of time.
